Falco is a veteran character returning in Super Smash Bros. Rumble. He retains many aspects from his previous incarnation, though he has been de-cloned and heavily buffed. He was one of the characters shown in the reveal trailer. This is his fourth appearance in a Super Smash Bros. game (excluding Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS).
Abilities & Strategy
Great combo game with neutral aerial, up aerial, down aerial, etc.
Reliable kill moves (up smash, up air, forward smash, etc.)
Combo throws (up throw, down throw for tech chases)
Kill throw (back throw)
Medium weight makes him somewhat easier to KO
Medium fall speed allows for many combos
Changes From Smash Wii U/3DS
Up smash has less startup and end lag. It has more knockback.
Down aerial is now almost identical to its Brawl and Melee incarnation.
Falco Phantasm has been changed to Falco Glide, a chargeable horizontal move not unlike Luigi Missile that can spike and be angled.
Fire Bird has been changed to Falco Boost, a better recovery with a windbox in addition to hitboxes.
